Upon graduation worked at Mosbacher Jewelry Store and Dan at Tribune. In 1964 we moved to Dowagiac, MI, where Dan was editor of the local newspaper and I was a teller at the bank.

When we learned that a baby was on the way we moved to Erie where Dan became city editor of the Morning News.

In 1969 we moved to Greenville, OH, so Dan could be editor of the newspaper. I was a stay-at-home mom then. After several years we purchased a custom publishing company and I started handling clerical and accounting duties.

A few years later we added a retail gift store and I was involved full time. Those businesses eventually were phased out and we launched Schlosser Management Co. in 1988 to serve trade association clients in 5 states.

We lived in Greenvlle for 21 years and were active with the Jaycees and Chamber of Commerce and worked on several community events and festivals.

For 20 years we participated in and helped manage local, county, state and even 2 world horseshoe pitching tournaments.

In 1990 we relocated our home and business to Caledonia, OH, to be closer to our key clients. We lived in Caledonia for 14 years and were very active in the community. We published a community newsletter and helped organize several community events. Dan was mayor for 8 years and I was responsible for coordination of events at the community park. Our phone rang off the hook and we rarely sat down to dinner without somone coming to the door.

In 2004 we started to cut back on both our business and community activities and moved to Hamilton to be close to our son and his family. We are no long active in the community, but spend as much time as we can with the grandkids.

We plan to close the business and retire at the end of 2010.

Finally retired in 2010 and now in 2013 we are building a new house. Never had a new house and at this age I really don't know why but we are building one. It should be done sometime in August or September.

Moved into our new house in June of 2013.
Still having things done to the house but everything should be finished this year.
