It's 55 years ago since we graduated, but I remember Jim so well. I am so very sorry to hear that he passed away. My thoughts are with him and with his family. May he rest in peace. Yvonne van Tilburg-Mulder

I remember little Jimmy way back in Miss Buchanon's class in the second grade at West Mead School (Nelson Hill School). That's when we always said the pledge of allegence followed by the Lord's Prayer. That was the same year that I left school early on one afternoon a week to walk to catechism classes prior to first communion at St Agatha's church. Jimmy felt awkward with the Christian prayer, and I felt awkward leaving school early. We confided in each other at that very young age, and we both had an appreciation and acceptance of cultural differences. Through high school and at subsequent reunions and occasional correspondence, we reminded each other of this unique bond. He was very special to me. He enriched my life with his gentleness and modesty. He taught me tolerance and love of all mankind. Thank you Jimmy for this special gift. Rest in peace.
