LANCASTER — Philip C. Curtis, 69, of Lancaster, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born Oct. 8, 1941, in Grove City, he was a son of the late Carl C. and Martha J. Bring Curtis.

A graduate of Meadville High School and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, Long Island, N.Y., Philip received his master of business administration degree from the City University of New York.

He is survived by a sister, Anne C., wife of Richard S. Wolf, of Lancaster; and a brother, Carson B. Curtis of Colorado.

Private graveside services will be conducted in Lancaster Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

So sad! Phil was such a smart, talented, hard working, determined individual who always succeeded in spite of adversity. I was in school with Phil through North End, First District, and MASH and admire him so much!
